Looking to earn some easy cash, Jessica Farris agrees to be a test subject in a psychological study about ethics and morality. But as the study moves from the exam room to the real world, the line between what is real and what is one of Dr. Shields’s experiments blurs.

Dr. Shields seems to know what Jess is thinking… and what she’s hiding.

Jessica’s behavior will not only be monitored, but manipulated.

Caught in a web of attraction, deceit and jealousy, Jess quickly learns that some obsessions can be deadly.

From the authors of the blockbuster bestseller The Wife Between Us, Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, An Anonymous Girl will keep you riveted through the last shocking twist.

Loved this book! Twisty. Intense. Entertaining. Original. All the things you want in this genre. LOVED IT. Even better than their last book, The Wife Between Us, and that’s saying something because I thought that was 5 stars also. Enjoy.Edge-of-your-seat Psychological Suspense How Would YOU Respond if Your Ethics Were Questioned? Here’s a Frightening Example…It is nearly impossible to describe this book without revealing essential pieces of the plot, key elements that will be much more exciting if you are allowed to discover them on your own. It will be far easier to explain, if you are a lover of suspense/thriller talfes, why you must read this book. The story is told in first person present. I am not normally a fan of this POV and tense, but in this story, the choices work. What makes it special is that there are two narrators, swapping back and forth, chapter to chapter. Even though the POV puts us inside each narrator’s head, everything is not always revealed to the reader. Instead, it is portioned out in slow measure, driving the suspense higher as you progress further into the book. Even right up to the end, the true motives of all the characters are not fully revealed, which enables the authors to weave feelings of danger throughout the pages, leaving us to wonder if the heroine will survive until the end.The writing is impeccable, and there are no plot holes that could have damaged the integrity of the story. Even with all her faults, the main protagonist Jessica is likeable, and I soon found myself identifying with her questions and fears. Once I began reading it was hard to stop, and most of the book was completed in one sitting.Bottom line: This is a tight, psychological suspense story that will periodically have you on the edge of your seat. The scariness is primarily generated by the fears (perceived and real) in Jessica’s mind, aided by the information from the second narrator. The story also examines morality and ethics, as “What would you do if…” questions quickly merge with a frightening reality. Can’t recommend this one enough. Five stars. Most boring book ever!! I loved the other book by this author, it was one of my favorites, but this one...it was so boring, I had to force myself to finish it. I feel like nothing happened! The psychiatrist (psychologist?) Dr. Fields in the book was a very one dimensional shallow character (the writing was stilted and it was almost like she was a robot). The other narrator, Jessica wasn't likable at all (another one dimensional character). The idea was good (a stalker type doctor) but she wasn't even as crazy as she could have been. Honestly, I can't even remember what the BIG twist was at the end. Very boring.

Title: A Duke for the Road (The Duke's Secret Book 1) Pdf
A Duke With A Secret:

Robert Deverall, Duke of Blackstone, is cursed. Or so he thinks. Inheriting a dukedom bankrupted by his dissolute grandfather, father, and elder brother has made him determined that the male line will end with him. He refuses to allow any one else to suffer at the hands of a Deverall man. When he meets his childhood friend, Lady Harriet Cornwall, he is determined to stay away from her, despite the fact she makes his heart sing and his body ignite. When the two are caught in a compromising position, he has no choice but to marry the wild, independent Harry. But will his determination never to have children, and his fears about his famiy line, destroy their chance at love?

A Lady Determined to Unmask the Duke:
Lady Harriet Cornwall is determined to marry and quickly. After all, she loathes the uninspiring parties a proper unmarried lady can attend. No, she longs to be just like her mother, a beacon of culture, literature, and fun. And like her mother, she longs for a large family. When she meets Rob again, she can hardly believe the transformation from mischeivous boy to sardonic and mysterious man. In the breath of a single dance, her heart is lost. From their very first kiss, she knows he is the one for her. But he has a dark secret. Will he push her away as he has done to everyone else? Or will she be able to coax her dark duke back into the light to find love?

The Dukes Secrets Loved it. Very pleased to learn that Eva Devon has come out with a new series. Truly enjoyed the last one. Great read to a new beginning.Harry has an indomitable will. I was not going to buy this book. I love the author's stories but my TBR list is long and I hit my limit to buy for the month. But, I read the description, I thoroughly enjoy her books, so, sigh....I bought it. And I am happy I did!Rob starts the book out helping Drake and they are all friends. But he comes home and needs help. But does he ask his friends? If course not! He comes up with something of a solution that's like putting fingers in a dike. But smart, lovable Harry figured it out. She has probably always loved Rob from their days of freedom as children. But she has her work cut out for her to reach Rob and bring him out of the darkness. Now I can't wait for the other dukes and Heath to get their stories. Enjoy!Just ok. Not romantic enough. Great character's and storyline, but too many descriptions about thing I didn't care about. This author has potential but the chemistry has to build. There needs to be more spark and passion. Because this was only my first book by this author, I plan on trying 1 more before I give up completely.

Title: Wheat Belly Pdf Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight, and Find Your Path Back to Health

“Fascinating, compelling, and more than a little entertaining, Wheat Belly may be the most important health book of the year.” —Dana Carpender, author of 500 Low-Carb Recipes“Dr Davis' comprehensive, readable and witty book reveals that wheat, far from being the staff of life, is in fact the stuff of nightmares. Take his advice to lose wheat from your diet and you'll likely be paid back many times over in the form of a slimmer, healthier body and a better functioning brain.” —Dr. John Briffa BSc MB BS nutritional physician and author of Waist Disposal“Davis makes a compelling case” —Fort Worth Star Telegram WILLIAM DAVIS, MD, is a New York Times bestselling author and a cardiologist who advocates unique, insightful, and cutting-edge strategies to help individuals discover the health hidden within them. His blog, wheatbellyblog.com, has been visited by millions of people. Dr. Davis has also shared his passion for wheat-free living on national television shows including The Dr. Oz Show and CBS This Morning. His Wheat Belly Total Health program has become a public television special, now airing nationwide. He lives in Wisconsin.

In this #1 New York Times bestseller, a renowned cardiologist explains how eliminating wheat from our diets can prevent fat storage, shrink unsightly bulges, and reverse myriad health problems.

Every day, over 200 million Americans consume food products made of wheat. As a result, over 100 million of them experience some form of adverse health effect, ranging from minor rashes and high blood sugar to the unattractive stomach bulges that preventive cardiologist William Davis calls "wheat bellies." According to Davis, that excess fat has nothing to do with gluttony, sloth, or too much butter: It's due to the whole grain wraps we eat for lunch.

After witnessing over 2,000 patients regain their health after giving up wheat, Davis reached the disturbing conclusion that wheat is the single largest contributor to the nationwide obesity epidemic—and its elimination is key to dramatic weight loss and optimal health. In Wheat Belly, Davis exposes the harmful effects of what is actually a product of genetic tinkering and agribusiness being sold to the American public as "wheat"—and provides readers with a user-friendly, step-by-step plan to navigate a new, wheat-free lifestyle.

Informed by cutting-edge science and nutrition, along with case studies from men and women who have experienced life-changing transformations in their health after waving goodbye to wheat, Wheat Belly is an illuminating look at what is truly making Americans sick and an action plan to clear our plates of this seemingly benign ingredient.

Great Learning Tool, Great Recipes! About a year ago I began having pain in the upper abdomen, a little toward the right side. I went to my primary care doc. He did a brief exam and said he thought it was gall bladder and that I would need to have my gall bladder removed! I was in a state of shock! I have NEVER had a gall bladder problem in my entire life!!! Nor had my weight fluctuated a lot during my lifetime. Of course, I called my sister right away. She said to try gluten free just to see what happens. This was on Friday afternoon. I decided to give it a try! I had nothing to lose. So, I went online to learn everything I could. I did not know much, but, I can tell you, I did not eat anything with gluten and I was PAIN FREE! Holy cow! I eliminated gluten and managed to keep my gall bladder and avoid surgery! Now came the learning process. I had been able to see Dr. Davis on Public Television. Wow! A lot of information. Of course, I immediately went to Amazon and began my search for Dr. Davis' book. This book is very detailed regarding eating gluten free The book also has so many recipes! They are really good and pretty easy! You can make an apple muffin in a large mug, in the microwave! Delicious and easy! I recommend this book to anyone learning about gluten free and also someone who would like good information and good, easy recipes! If you found this review helpful, please click the YES for me! Thank you!Do not think twice about reading this book and don't wait another minute! I'm 43 and have always considered myself in good shape (spin classes, eat well, occasionally have a glass or two of wine or a cocktail). For roughly 2 years I was experiencing excessive brain fog, tiredness (even after getting 10 hours of solid sleep), poor word retrieval, arthritis in my thumbs and hips, irritability, excessive weight gain (went from 108-123 in 12 mos which was totally unusual for me), developed vitiligo on my hands and my back, had droning headaches almost daily and general unhealthiness. I went to my GP and asked him to run every blood test and even went as far as to ask him for two brain scans (one that looks for Alzheimer's/Dementia as well as the one that detects strokes). My dermatologist ran thyroid tests because she assumed she'd find some sort of autoimmune dysfunction based on my vitiligo. All of the tests came back completely normal. However, I knew something was amiss because I felt that my health had completely derailed and was declining daily. I took things into my own hands and began researching Anti-Inflammatory disease and how to combat it. I came across Dr. Davis's book and couldn't put it down. June 30 2017 (5.5 mos ago) I cut out wheat and subsequently gluten entirely and have bounced back entirely, including losing 13 pounds without changing anything aside from cutting the wheat & gluten out. I barely need 7-8 hours of sleep and feel full of energy. It took about 3 weeks to begin feeling the effects and it just got better as the days went on. I cannot recommend this book enough for those of you who are looking to feel alive again! I have recommended this book to others and they are true believers now as well. Thank you Dr. Davis for your work here!!!My doctor recommended it. I am on my third week This book's "diet" is changing my life. Seriously. My doctor recommended it. I am on my third week. I'm a sugar addict so its really tough for me; but the weight loss around my belly and the absence of sugar fog is incredible!

"What Gary Chapman has done for the marriage relationship, he and Ross Campbell have done for the precious relationship that we have with children. I wish every parent, grandparent and educator had The 5 Love Languages of Children (The Secret to Loving Children Effectively) to read. The information is astute and discerning, reminding us that every child is different. I believe one of the reasons this book is so insightful is that the emphasis is on the child and his/her needs. The tips are especially helpful to change the adult’s actions so that the child will feel loved even when disciplined. That is the goal we should all have. It is not about us but about the child. Thank you Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell for this layman’s book. It is easy to read and immediately put into action. Easy read and full of good information. The first book I would recommend to any parent. This book is great for those of you that already put effort into your relationship with your children. The main bit of knowledge I took away from reading this book is how to make that same amount of effort count for more. If you have already read the original 5 Love Languages book you will know what I mean. Even for those of you who have read it there are some great examples that will help you transfer those ideas from the first book into your relationship with your kids.If you haven't ready the first book that was intended for married couples (or non married couples in a serious relationship) you can still read this book no problem. This was written as a standalone book that does not require the reading of the authors first book.Kids are easy to love, and of course sometimes not so easy but we care for them just the same. It is easy for us to see when they care about us because they are so basic in the way they show affection. As they get older into adolescence this changes a bit as they get more complicated. My children are 4 months, 2 years, and 3.5 years old. Even though this book will be more helpful with children ages 8-18, I am already using the concepts of this book with my 2 and 3.5 year old and seeing results. This book will show you how to let your children know you care about them. My 3.5 year old just needs hugs but my 2 year old needs time spent with him. When I started doing this his typical 2 year old "touch everything I shouldn't" actions went away. It was a moment to cherish when we could leave the remote controls for the TV out on the end table again. When my 2 year old started getting the love he wanted he stopped acting out and this book showed me in an easy to understand way how to see what my child wanted and give it to him. Now did I ignore my child before? No Way. When I get home all the kids go crazy and jump on me and we wrestle and tickle. My 3.5 year old tells me about preschool and my boy shows me his toys (the same ones as the day before). We all eat dinner together followed shortly after by taking baths or showers. Then we have nights with no TV where my wife and I will read them books or they will play and sometimes we let them watch a show or two. Its not like we are bad parents at all and this book isn't aimed at making bad parents better. This book will show you, whatever type of parent you are, how to show your children you care for them so they see it. When your children feel more loved by you they will be more confident, act out less, and be able to show you better how they care for you. Its a win win with no real extra effort needed other than what you are currently putting out. You just might need to redirect some of your effort. This book is a short easy read and I recommend it to any parent.4 Stars My parents introduced me to The Five Love Languages when I was still a teenager. It was instantly intrigued by the idea of five different ways that people show and receive love. So when the opportunity came up to read The Five Love Languages of Children I was excited to pick it up since I've become a mother. The idea of loving my child in the best ways possible was easily something that I wanted to learn more about. It has been at least ten years since I read The Five Love Languages; however, I didn't find The Five Love Languages of Children to be too terribly different. The love languages (Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Quality Time, Acts of Service, and Gifts) are the same. From what I could tell, the examples surrounded the love languages were obviously geared toward parents and children. Also, there were sections devoted to parenting philosophy and the nature of children whereas the original book focused more on the spouse and romantic love relationships. But overall, I feel like you could probably get away with reading one of these books and applying the concepts to both sets of relationships (or any relationship really). That being said, I still really enjoyed The Five Love Languages of Children and I read it quite quickly given the amount of time I have to read these days. Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell had plenty of good and wise things to say about raising children and I highlighted up a storm. Here are some of my favorite quotes:-Speaking your child's primary love language does not mean he or she will not rebel later. It does mean your child will know you love him, and that can bring him security and hope...-Unconditional love is a full love that accepts and affirms a child for who he is, not for what he does.-Your children will sense how you feel about them by how you behave toward them.-Affection and love mean expressing appreciation for the very being of a child, for those characteristics and abilities that are part of the total package of the person. In contrast, we express praise for what the child does, either in achievements or behavior or conscious attitudes.-...much childhood misbehavior is an attempt to get more time with Mom or Dad.-Don't let your demonstration of love to a child be controlled by whether the child is pleasing you at the moment.-Your children need to see in you the traits you want them to develop.-Discipline comes from a Greek word that means "to train." Discipline involves the long and vigilant task of guiding a child from infancy to adulthood. The goal is that the child would reach a level of maturity that will allow him one day to function as a responsible adult in society.-Love looks out for the interest of another; so does discipline.-Practice unconditional love; then discipline.-Raising children always requires more time than you expected.Personally, I really enjoyed the section dedicated to discipline. The authors address that discipline and punishment aren't synonymous. While I without a doubt knew that both of my parents loved me I definitely grew up in a household where punishment was the main form of discipline. It wasn't always about training me in the direction that I needed to go so much as punishing me for the not going the direction I should. Or it felt that way at the time. Anyway, I won't go into all of that here, but I enjoyed the authors spending time on this subject and really enforcing that a child should be loved and feel loved unconditionally no matter how unappealing their behavior might be.The Five Love Languages of Children gets 4 Stars from me. It's an information packed book with easy concepts to implement into your daily life in hopes that your children will feel more loved. I do think that this is a book that you might continually need to come back to and re-read for a refresher every once and a while. Have you read The Five Love Languages of Children? What did you think? Let me know!Great book Every parent needs to read this book,no matter how many kids you have or how much of an expert you think you are . This book will open your eyes in so many ways and help you understand your kid (S).
