Entertaining, funny and informative. This was a fun and informative read. So easily could have been dry and boring but it was not. Have a much better understanding of Thai culture and people.Peace Corps Memoir Page Turner! I enjoyed Amy McGarry's memoir of the time she spent in Thailand as a Peace Corps Volunteer. She did an excellent job of sharing her experiences including her arrival, acclimating to a new culture, living with lots of interesting wildlife, applying her teaching skills, and creating a sustainable service for her students. The book is both funny and serious, but overall makes you feel like you were there with her.LOVED IT! I AM FARANG was such a delightful read! Entertaining and educational; I was cackling throughout the entire book! I recommend this to anyone looking for a little adventure and a lot of laughs. Great job!
